[ajdt-dev] Vote for Committer status for Andrew Eisenberg has started

tools.ajdt Committers,
This automatically generated message signals that Andrew Clement has
nominated Andrew Eisenberg as a Committer on the tools.ajdt project. The
reason given is as follows:

I would like to nominate Andrew Eisenberg for commit rights on the AJDT
project. Over the last few months Andrew has been the key developer
responsible for porting AJDT to Eclipse 3.4. A vital part of that work was
upgrading the AspectJ aware headless build system we use (bug 244197) and
ensuring we generate P2 metadata as part of the build (bug 237196). He has
also written the mylyn bridge extension that allows AspectJ elements to
participate in a mylyn context (bug 233777). With respect to enhancing
existing AJDT functionality he has improved the inpath and aspectpath to
allow project based dependencies (rather than just folder based
dependencies) - bug 237979 - and has been involved with the AspectJ design
to improve the AJDT/AspectJ interface and so greatly improve the
incremental compilation experience in AJDT (bug 249380). He is a regular
poster on the AspectJ and AJDT mailing lists (
http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/aspectj-users/threads.html ) and has
been involved in the resolution of more than 50 bugs already. Going
forward he is already investigating the issues that AJDT has that prevent
us offering an experience as close to JDT as possible, already leading
discussions in bug 240021 and bug 240047.

The vote is being held via the MyFoundation portal: voters *must* use the
portal for the votes to be properly recorded. The voting will continue
until either all 6 existing Committers have voted or until they have been
given enough time to vote, even if they do not do so (defined as at least
one week). Andrew Eisenberg must receive at least three +1s and no -1s for
a successful election.

Eligible Committers must cast their votes through their My Foundation
portal page (do NOT just reply to this email; your vote will not be
correctly recorded unless you use the portal):

    http://portal.eclipse.org/

The project Committers eligible to vote are:

    Matt Chapman
    Andrew Clement
    Adrian Colyer
    Helen Hawkins
    Sian January
    Mik Kersten

*NOTE*: Successful elections are left open for a maximum of 60 days to
allow for processing of paperwork. After that time the election will be
expired, regardless of its current status. Should papework processing on
the part of the candidate take more time than allowed, a new election will
have to be held.
