George,
No need to be shy. I’m a good listener. I got it working fine with 2.1.2 right
now. I’ve ran apps and such with
AspectJ. Thanks for your help again,
Jeremy

Building AspectJ Project
Hi,
Just
so that you know, AJDT 1.1.6 works best on Eclipse 3.0 M1->M4 (inclusive).
With Eclipse 2.1.x there is a problem with the New Aspect wizard.
Last
append. Honest. I'll shut up now :-)
George

George,
Thanks again for your help. I
got 1.1.6 now with 3.0M7, not working obviously, and 2.1.2 with 1.1.6 and it’s
working. Thanks for your help, Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

The links to AJDT 1.1.4 and AJDT 1.1.6 are very similar. Note that the link to
AJDT 1.1.6 has the extra "/dev" near the end.
AJDT 1.1.4 is at http://download.eclipse.org/technology/ajdt/update
AJDT 1.1.6 is at http://download.eclipse.org/technology/ajdt/dev/update
Bye for now,
George

George,
Thanks for the reply. I didn’t
see that either so I just downloaded what I had. I am pointed in that
direction already but I can only get 1.1.4, which is said to be the version I
have in the plugins-help page. I’m going to get an old 2.1.2 version and
use AspectJ in it along with AJDT. Thanks for your help, Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,
AJDT does not currently run on Eclipse 3.0 M7. The latest version of Eclipse
3.0 that AJDT should work on is M4. You can get the latest AJDT (1.1.6) by
pointing your Eclipse software updates manager here ...
http://download.eclipse.org/technology/ajdt/dev/update
There should be information about supported Eclipse versions on the AJDT
project home page but I can't see it right now.
Best regards,
George

[ajdt-dev] Problem Building AspectJ Project
|
|
Ajdt-List,
I have installed AJDT for Eclipse
3.0M7 and gotten everything to work with no errors. I started an AspectJ
project and got to where I wanted to do a build. I click the build icon
and I get the following:
Compile error,
caught Throwable: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:
org.eclipse.ui.internal.WorkbenchPlugin.getPluginWorkspace()Lorg/eclipse/cor
Reason:
Compile error,
caught Throwable: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:
org.eclipse.ui.internal.WorkbenchPlugin.getPluginWorkspace()Lorg/eclipse/cor
How can I
remedy this? I didn’t do anything any differently from the installer
docs. Using compiler 1.1.1 and ajdt 0.64. Thanks,
Jeremy Whitlock ---
