Description Henning Boeger CLA 2003-05-14 04:37:24 EDT
I often find myself turning "Ignore whitespace" on and off during compare
quite often. Sometimes I want to see the exact differences, sometimes only the
ones that matter.

Every time going through the preferences to do this takes too long. A button
for switching "Ignore whitespace" on and off (in the compare editor) would be
very helpful.

just noticed that the "Synchronize" view has such a button (in the dropdown
arrow). The same would propably fit into the compare editor.
Comment 2 Andre Weinand CLA 2003-05-22 10:02:46 EDT
The Compare Editor has an "Ignore Whitespace" button in the toolbar (on the left hand side
of the "Goto Next Difference" button).

This inconsistency between Compare Editor and Synchronize Viewer is a consequence
of the fact that one is an editor and one is a viewer: viewers cannot contribute buttons
to the workbench toolbar.
