The spec for the class says "This implementation is tightly bound to the
properties provided in IProductConstants". Basically, any client using the
IProductConstants will have to use ProductProperties to get at the type specific
properties of a product. There is a lot of code in ProductProperties that RCP
applications shouldn't have to duplicate. For example, I'm trying to get the
window images to show in a dialog that is shown before the first WorkbenchWindow.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
