Provide GUI filter as part of the import wizard which will be sent to the GLA 
runtime.

By any criteria including things like "the most recent 200" entries, by 
products, severity, by any CBE properties, etc.

Should be implemented at the back-end (GLA,/agent) and controlled 
programatically or by the front end (LTA).

Log files imported into the workspace can be quite large due to the fact that 
they keep cumulating events from long running applications.
In a lot of scenarios, the user is only interested in analyzing the log for 
events that happened at a certain time interval ( when the application was 
down ) or events with a specific severity ( severity one for clues on why the 
application has died )
For that reason, the user should be able to import portions of the log files 
based on filters such as timestamp, record severity, etc.

some functional requirements which need to be in this support:

function:

-filter on contents of all CBE properties

- also be able to filter on a time range, from
x time to y time, etc.

- other items specifically mentioned as examples:

- if error code is z 

- severity


performance:

if the filter is for 10% of the data
then ideally that would give us 10x performance gain, since that would be an 
ideal objective the expectation would be for 8x performance gain to allow for 
overhead.
