I would like to see a simple search field near the top of workbench UI - to 
offer the user a quick way of launching a search in the help system. It seems 
that using search is one of the preferred methods of using help. I think that 
this would be a usability enhancement.

Moving to Help for consideration.  This would have to be contributed by Help as
an action set with a combo (see bug 22642).

Appeared in 3.1 cycle for a moment.  To reconsider post 3.1.

I like this idea. We should consider it for 3.4.

Closing as WONTFIX. This enhancement request has been open for a long time but I don't see us ever making this change.
