Bug# 67930 indicates that users are expecting code assist in the rename field 
dialog.

We should offer code assist in the dialog and suggest the same proposals you 
would get when entering the field in the editor and pressing ctrl+space.

The name should be based on
- the original name (depends on bug 38111) for renaming types
- the original name and the type of the element for renaming constant/field/variable/parameter/method

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
