To fix bug 57290, which is marked as RC2, I need to define keybindings based
on OS. Looking at the doc this is only possible per Platform (window system).
Is there a way how I can do this ?

There are no plans to provide this facility in the 3.0 time frame. The current
solution is to define it for the corresponding widget toolkit. For example,
Motif would be used to change the key binding for Solaris.

I agree this is less than ideal in the long run, as this also affects other
operating systems (e.g., Linux).

A fix for this would be to use "os.name" from the system properties as an
additional filter.

But there is nothing I can do to work around it ?

I'll look at this for 3.1.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
