Comment 1 Andrey Loskutov CLA 2022-02-23 01:56:16 EST
This shows native file open dialog, that opens. If Windoof is so slow, it's not Eclipse issue. I assume the native dialog tried to check/add "last used" entries and the like.
Comment 2 Lars Vogel CLA 2022-02-23 02:00:13 EST
Doing twice the refresh seems unnecessary:

/**
	 * Bring up a wizard that lets the user create a new VM definition.
	 */
	private void addVM() {
		AddVMInstallWizard wizard = new AddVMInstallWizard(fVMs.toArray(new IVMInstall[fVMs.size()]));
		WizardDialog dialog = new WizardDialog(getShell(), wizard);
		if (dialog.open() == Window.OK) {
			VMStandin result = wizard.getResult();
			if (result != null) {
				fVMs.add(result);
				//refresh from model
				fVMList.refresh();
				if (fVMs.size() == 1) {
					// if this added JRE is the only JRE present, select it
					setCheckedJRE(result);
				}
				fVMList.setSelection(new StructuredSelection(result));
				//ensure labels are updated
				fVMList.refresh(true);
			}
		}
	}

> This shows native file open dialog, that opens.

If the action was to open the native dialog, then the dialog will stay open until user selected a file .... it's just wrong that such is reported as freeze ... only waiting for user input.

@Lars, was it like that?

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
