I would like to suggest to add an option to skip symlinked files and those in symlinked (sub)folders in a workspace search. Also SVN externals folders are a good idea to exclude.

I don't know, if this is a common problem. But whenever I perform a search over certain projects, I get duplicate results due to some folders being checked out twice via SVN externals and included multiple times because of symlinked folders.
