I'm currently try to debug some problem so I'm running a eclipse from my IDE and enabled the "allow to install new software".

When I now try to install something that requires Java 8 I get the follwoing error:

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: <m< bundle> requires 'osgi.ee; (&(osgi.ee=JavaSE)(version=1.8))' but it could not be found

If I download the I-Build and try it there it works, but it is a bit cumbersome to develop "blindly" and then try to get it merged and wait for the next I-Build.

So it seems to me that the "allow to install new software" option behaves different to a regular eclipse-install.
