To reproduce:


   1. Window -> Appearance -> Hide status bar
   2.Window -> Appearance -> Show status bar
   3. Status bar is not shown (unexpected).
   4. Click on some inactive view.
   5. Status bar is shown now.

I see this in the Eclipse SDK 4.16 release, both on Windows 10 and on RHEL 7.4 (GTK 3.22.30 if it makes any difference).

We also see this in our IDE based on Eclipse 4.15 (potentially with some patches on top), as well as in one of recent integration builds:

I tested some more releases with Windows 10. It look like it broke with 4.13, it works as expected in 4.12.
