When creating a task in Eclipse using the Mylyn GitHub connector for issues, you can see and make a selection from the issue labels defined in GitHub, but the selection is not retained when the task is saved.

This ist not the correct project. Should be legit and component GITHUB

Thank you for the re-direction.

Cannot reproduce. Are you a collaborator at the repo where you observed this? Seems to me the code allows to select and change labels, but persists them only if you are a collaborator at the GitHub repo.

If that is the issue here, then maybe that check could be made earlier, and the UI to set/change labels not be offered to non-collaborators.

In GitHub, I am listed as an owner, with admin access to all repositories.

In that case: cannot reproduce. I tried it with a private repository of mine, and the label changes did show up on Github. I used the nightly build of egit-github, and token auth.
