Cannot reproduce. Shows up with the 's' for me on OS X, and the text string is defined with 's' in the resource file uitext.properties: RepositorySearchDialog_SkipHidden=Skip &hidden directories So either an SWT problem on GTK, or a theming bug. > So either an SWT problem on GTK, or a theming bug.
This is most likely it.
I just noticed I can't reproduce this bug in eclipse 2019-09, so this bug must have popped up sometime after the September release in 2019.

Created attachment 282665 [details] The dialog with the typo As I was making a guide for new Eclipse contributors, I realized there's a small typo on the "Add Git Repositories" dialog. The checkbox "Skip hidden directories" is written "Skip hidden directorie". I've included a photo showing the typo. If someone can give me the class name of this dialog, I will gladly correct the typo in a patch :)
