Description Ken Taylor CLA 2020-03-21 16:13:13 EDT
Colors in this version of Eclipse cannot be changed. When you change a color and click Apply the color changes but when you close the Preferences dialog the colors go back. It doesn't matter how you close the dialog or what button you click. Tried resetting the colors to default and initially that seemed to work but then the problem comes back as soon as you change even one color. For people with modern, bright monitors, this version of Eclipse is unusable. Broken.

To be able to reproduce your issue:
- For which editors or UI parts are you trying to change the colors?
- Which preferences are you using to change the color?

Text Editor background color. If you change the color and hit Accept button, then Accept and Close button, the color changes back. And if you restart Eclispe, the color changes back. Also Console background color. The Console changes color everythime you focus or unfocus it and you can't change its background color at all. We installed the DevStyle plugin but that did not fix this issue.
