After installing eclipse 2019.09 the workspace directory selection window appears. But is is too small and not resizeable. The end of the input can not be reached.

Environment:
Kubuntu 19.04
Kernel: 5.0.0-29-generic
KDE Plasma 3.16.5
KDE Framework: 5.62.0
QT: 5.12.2

What version of GTK are you using? Also, KDE Plasma 3.16.5 is pretty old. I'm on 5.15.5 and don't have this issue personally.

Which GTK3 version do you have, and which monitor scaling factor?

I'm having this issue with current Fedora 36 Workstation (Gnome) and Eclipse 4.23 too.

When I start eclipse the first time, the dialog is too small. Even if close the dialog to cancel the start, a ~/.swt/trims.prefs file is created.

With this file, the dialog is shown correctly when I start eclipse again.

If I delete this file before I start it again, the dialog is again too small.
