There should be a keyboard-shortcut and other ways to hide or show the
navigator-view - the only way currently is to maximise/minimise an editor-view
or invoke the menu-command.

Alternative ways allowing easier and more comfortable user-interaction could
include:

* hide/show by double-clicking the vertical separator
* introduce a keyboard-shortcut (cannot be configured currently AFAIK)
* introduce a toolbar for views (not just perspectives) to be able to easily
customise perspectives - this should actually be a separate RFE, but fits in
here - currently there is much space left blank on the left side, as the
perspective-icons don't consume much space, this cut be put to good use...:)

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
