We are using GEF artifacts in a normal Maven project (no Tycho). Therefore, it would be nice if the GEF artifacts could be published in Maven Central Repository in additional to the P2 update site.

I left the team where the issue is needed and currently, unfortunately, I don't have time to contribute. But I'll inform my former team about your request. Maybe one of them will contribute.
