Description John Arthorne CLA 2001-10-17 10:30:55 EDT
There are some users on Eclipse Corner with special project configurations, such
as nested source folders, and source folders on network drives. They want to be
able to do things like:

- have the source folder on a network drive, and bin on the local drive
- have sub-directories of a source folder also be source folders, such as:

  /src/com/abc/...
  /src/generated/com/abc/...

Where "/src" and "/src/generated" are source folders.

This could possibly be addressed by allowing source folders to come from another
project. Currently source folders are restricted to any folder within the same
project.

This is not likely to happen in the near future. Answered the EC post in this
direction.

Source folders of other projects are seen through their output location.

Defer

Closing. Linked source folders allow to achieve this in 2.1.
