no timeline or ETA for now FWIW Sonatype's production Nexus https://oss.sonatype.org is still running on version 2.13.0-01 at the time of writing I also asked for support on Twitter https://twitter.com/sieversjan/status/755350021827067904 no reply Added some visibility to this issue: https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/NEXUS-12000 https://support.sonatype.com/hc/en-us/requests/16936 Hi Jörg, We already have an issue to track work on such a guide. https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/NEXUS-10495 At this time it would be best for a developer to send specific questions to nexus-feedback@sonatype.com or the Nexus users list. If there are features of the tycho unzip plugin that you would like to see as part of Nexus 3 core, then I encourage you to file a specific request detailing these at https://issues.sonatype.org in the NEXUS project so that we can gather more information from you. Thanks for your feedback. -Peter My previous comment was the response from Peter Lynch to my request in Sonatypes support portal. Created an issue to implement tycho-unzip-plugin as nexus core feature (as requested by Peter Lynch). @Jan: Maybe you want to add some feature details to the request: https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/NEXUS-12001 https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/NEXUS-12001 seems to be not publicly accessible, I get a 'Permission violation' (also when logged into Sonatype's Jira). (In reply to Dietmar Stoll from comment #6) > https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/NEXUS-12001 seems to be not publicly > accessible, I get a 'Permission violation' (also when logged into Sonatype's > Jira). I just asked to make it publicly accessible. Here is the description (There is currently noone assigned and no other content): > We rely on the tycho-unzip plugin in Nexus 2.0. > > As suggested in http://support.sonatype.com/hc/requests/16936 I request to > provide the features of the tycho-unzip-plugin in nexus 3.x. > >The features we rely on are > > - unzipping any compressed file in a repo (hosted, proxy or group) by accessing it through a special url > - use of virtual version urls to access unzipped content of latest Snapshot/Release > >for details see https://wiki.eclipse.org/Tycho/Nexus_Unzip_Plugin https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/NEXUS-12001 is now publicly available - please vote/comment! (In reply to Jan Sievers from comment #9) > https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/NEXUS-12226 @Jan: could you please ask sonatype to make this issue publicly available as well? (In reply to Jörg Sesterhenn from comment #10) > (In reply to Jan Sievers from comment #9) > > https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/NEXUS-12226 > > @Jan: could you please ask sonatype to make this issue publicly available as > well? done Eclipse Tycho is moving away from this bugs.eclipse.org issue tracker to https://github.com/eclipse/tycho/issues/ instead. If this issue is relevant to you, your action is required. 0. Verify this issue is still happening with latest Tycho 2.4.0-SNAPSHOT if issue has disappeared, please change status of this issue to "CLOSED WORKFORME" with some details about your testing environment and how you did verify the issue; and you're done if issue is still present when latest release: * Create a new issue at https://github.com/eclipse/tycho/issues/ ** Use as title in GitHub the title of this Bugzilla ticket (may include the bug number or not, at your own convenience) ** In the GitHub description, start with a link to this bugzilla ticket ** Optionally add new content to the description if it can helps towards resolution ** Submit GitHub issue * Update bugzilla ticket ** Add to "See also" property (up right column) the link to the newly created GitHub issue ** Add a comment "Migrated to <link-to-newly-created-GitHub-issue>" ** Set status as CLOSED MOVED ** Submit All issues that remain open will be automatically closed next week or so. Then the Bugzilla component for Tycho will be archived and made read-only. |
