The managed build feature needs to be enhanced for usability and for flexibility to support a large variety of build target environments as well as to better support multiple configurations of tool and tool settings. Support will also be added for handling different variety of underlying tools including different make utilities, as well as support for different file types (like lex/yacc). Sean .. you've seen this one ? comments ? feasible ? Want to grab it ? This is a little too vague to "grab". I have a number of point fixes that I am going to commit to, some of which will involve changes to the underlying build model. > This is a little too vague to "grab".
8-), you'r right.
Hopefully the original poster can clarify this.
I currently use Winidea from isystem (www.isystem.com) for cross platform development. I use various C compilers for 68HC11, 68HC12, Coldfire... Windidea is well suited for this kind of work. But the editor is became a bit obsolete. So I am looking at Eclipse/CDT. But CDT does not completly do the job. I need to be able to say wich compiler/linker executables I want to use, where they are located, what are the arguments to pass to them, what executable to call before/after compiler/linker are called, what files extensions to use with this compiler/linker. Is it clear ? Maybe you can try Winidea to know more. Regards, Nicolas PR was targeted at 2.0 but was not resolved at release time. Changing target to 2.1 Sure, we enhanced managed build in 2.0. There is a new enancement owned by leo for enhancements going forward. |
