Specifiers can choose to disable the resize of nodes and border nodes with a property on their style description (in the VSM).

But the 8 resize/selection handles are always displayed. 

We could choose to hide some of them when at least direction of the resize is forbidden. 

For border nodes, we could also hide the handles located on the parent attachment side.
