Description Christian Pontesegger CLA 2015-02-11 10:31:46 EST
When clicking a local view toolbar icon, the corresponding view does not get focus. This results in command handlers not finding their corresponding view (eg with HandlerUtil.getActivePart())

On windows a view gets automatically activated when one of its toolbar buttons is clicked. This should also be the default behavior for linux.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

still a valid bug. Did I mention that autoclosing is a real bad thing to anybody reporting bugs?

I have no idea what benefit we have from auto-closing, but someone obviously decided it is cool to "have less bugs for free".

IMO this is abnormal practice that only abuses bug reporters and creates lot of mail spam. If you have energy, you could ask on mailing list if this nonsense shouldn't be better stopped. I honestly close to give up here.
