I would like to use Ctrl+F (Ctrl+S when Emacs bindings are enabled) to search the contents of the commit viewer diff tab, just like in a text editor.

As a workaround, I currently just copy paste the contents into a new untitled text file and then search in that editor. It would just be nice to have this directly in the commit viewer.
