When switching among several editor views across projects, a lot of manual 
navigating efforts are needed to carry operations on current edit file.

There should be a toolbar button or key similar to the "show in Table of 
Contents" function in help view.

This functionality exists.  In the toolbar for the Navigator view or the 
Package Explorer view there is a button called 'Link with Editor'.  If this 
button is depressed, when you click on a file in the editor window, the 
display on the Package Explorer or Navigator will shift so that particular 
file is highlighted/selected.
