The launch config below "Eclipse Application" has a "Validate Plug-ins" button on the "Plug-ins" tab.

This opens a dialog with a tree of problems.

It would be great if I could export this information somehow or copy it to the clipboard.

Reasonable request, especially if we always validate before launching, bug 272076.  However, there isn't committer time available for working on this.
