In the 4.2 M1 build, there is a lot of flashing when you resize one of the CTabFolders on GTK. The underlying reason is that the new SashLayout is using the deferred layout mechanism to set the new bounds on the CTF and doesn't call update (in 3.x we used the Sash widget for layouts and it would call update).

I cannot reproduce this issue on 4.8 M6, GTK3.22, and Fedora 27.
