I find it handy to have a paste history.

e.g. press ctrl-shift-v and you get a popup with a list of the last xx things
you have pasted. You choose one. It is inserted. And It moves up to the
first paste slot so it'll be used by default then next time you insert text.

Interesting. Which apps support this? Do they indicate this as a separate
command in the Edit menu, or is it a hidden feature?

Slick-edit implements it: http://slickedit.com/products/pr_feat-work.php

I'm switching some of my work to Eclipse and it's a feature I've found very
useful.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
