ProjectSelectionDialog implemented by jdt and eclipse.ui plugin in internal pkg is the duplicate feature being implemented by most of the extension plugins. It is not published where as it should have been available for public use already.
The dialog should be abstracted out & published, so that it can be used by others as well.

PDE would use the platform implementation if they made is available as API.
