When I do a Java Text compare (Compare With->Base Revision) and one of the files with written with unix line feeds and the other one with Windows line feeds, the compare view marks all indentations as changes.

It would be a lot better, if
1. only the line feeds were marked as changes.
2. I could check an option to ignore line feeds as changes.
3. ignore all whitespace-only changes.
4. hit F5 to re-compare.

Reproducible: Always

Same with text compare.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
