Many of the relation types have a bidirectional relationship with another relation type. For example:
- RELATION_CONTROLLED_BY and RELATION_CONTROLLER_FOR
- RELATION_DESCRIBED_BY and RELATION_DESCRIPTION_FOR
- RELATION_EMBEDDED_BY and RELATION_EMBEDS
- RELATION_FLOWS_FROM and RELATION_FLOWS_TO
- RELATION_LABEL_FOR and RELATION_LABELLED_BY
- RELATION_NODE_CHILD_OF and RELATION_PARENT_WINDOW_OF (not sure about this one)

According to Rich, when an application adds one relation it would be a good idea to automatically add the corresponding bidi relation. Apparently this would cut down on programming errors where the developer forgot to add the other half of the relationship.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
