Steps To Reproduce:
As far as I know Eclipse advices to use commands instead of actions. 

Therefore I believe it would be beneficial if you could update the "RCP Mail" Template with the usage of commands instead of actions. 

This template is shown if you are creating a RCP plugin project. Also the "RCP application with a view" uses the exit action.
