Description Curtis Windatt CLA 2009-01-14 09:52:10 EST
Show plug-in objects in editors and dialogs using:
[] Indentifiers
[] Presentation names

I was confused by the code, then confused by the preference page. The help page for the preferences explains things somewhat, but surely we can have better wording.

WAY back in the day, we had this crazy idea that people would prefer presentation names over identifiers... so that's where that option was born from. The problem now is that I don't know anyone who doesn't use the identifier...

I'll change this to a doc bug. It's been like this forever. We can update the help documentation to refer to identifier = bundle symbolic name and presentation name = bundle name

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
