Using the new External Tools, when I confiure and run an external tool, the
output doesn't show up in the Console until the tool completes.
Output should instead show up as it is produced by the external tool.

This is only an issue for External Tools, the Ant runner does the right thing.

This problem only happens when I use the "old" external tools.  That is, if I
turn on the Launch configurations work in progress, output gets displayed
correctly.  

However, I noticed that the "External Tools View" only shows the external tools
defined the old way, and not those defined using launch configurations - should
this be entered as a separate bug?

The external tools view will be removed shortly. The "External Tools" dialog 
replaces this view. As well, the log console will be removed.
