Description Hendrik Maryns CLA 2008-12-02 10:12:05 EST
Build ID: I20080617-2000

Steps To Reproduce:
There is the option ‘synchronize between panes in compare views’ under Prefs → General → Compare/Patch → Text compare.

This is a nice thing, but sometimes it just doesn’t work nicely, e.g. when one has moved things around in a file. It would be great when one could toggle this on somewhere in the compare view, just like there is a button and context menu option to ignore whitespace.

The only place we could add the option without cluttering the UI would be scroll bar's context menu. However, I don't know if an additional action can be added to that menu.

Recently a "swap left right" button was added.
I don't see how that clutters the UI.
