Most of this behavior is now available in the current release of the Emacs+ plugin. [Ctrl-X 0 will be added soon). See: http://www.eclipseplugincentral.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Web_Links&file=index&req=viewlink&cid=1442 The relevant portion from the doc reads: Split window behavior - Adapt the Emacs notion of window splitting to the eclipse editor stack * Split Horizontally (Ctrl-X 2): Split the editor stack horizontally and put the current editor below the others o When the split editor preference is checked (default), the current editor is split and placed below itself * Split Vertically (Ctrl-X 3): Split the editor stack vertically and put the current editor beside the others o When the split editor preference is checked (default), the current editor is split and placed beside itself * Join Window (Ctrl-X 1): Join a previously split editor window to the (upper left) editor stack o When the split editor preference is checked (default), duplicate instances of the editor are closed Window navigation - * Other Window (Ctrl-X O): Navigate to the previous editor window * Backwards Other Window (Ctrl+U Ctrl-X O): Navigate to the oldest previous editor window BTW, this bug is a close relative of: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=8009 Remy is now responsible for watching the [EditorMgmt] component area. This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. |
