If I start eclipse when either the Java or Debug perspective was in effect at the previous shutdown, the Run menu is placed to the right of the Project menu. However if the C/C++ perspective was in effect at shutdown, on the next start the Run menu appears to the left of the Project menu.

While minor, it is annoying as it is playing havoc with my muscle memory to find the menus moving around.

Hm, interesting. This would be a platform issue. CDT does not re-arrange top level menus.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
