Description David Audel CLA 2008-10-29 11:02:20 EDT
From bug 252481

1) create a java project P1
2) create a class ZZZZZ.java in P1
3) create a java project P2
4) create an empty X.java in P2
5) copy on the following content in X.java
ZZZZZ
6) select ZZZZZ
7) do F3

code select fails

It is because SelectionEngine#checkSelection() does not analyze correctly the identifier.

Changing Version tag to something more believable.
Comment 2 Eclipse Genie CLA 2018-09-18 11:41:58 EDT
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
