Description Kevin Haaland CLA 2001-10-10 22:37:31 EDT
If you try to open a file that does not have a system editor, you will get an error 'Unable to open
external editor for <file>'. If this occurs, the default editor should be reset. Right now the editor
remains as the System Editor so double clicking on the file again will give the same error.

Please look into this. Anytime the requested editor fails to open, the previous
default should be kept.

Currently for file types without System Editors, the default editor is the
Eclipse plain text editor. The Sysem Editor can only be set as the default
editor if the user specifies an actual external program. Currently, the only
way to get the error described above is to select Open With->System Editor from
the context menu for a file. The next time you double click on the file, the
default editor (the plain text editor) is used again.
