This is particularly important when navigating through controls using the keyboard - it is hard to tell which control has focus. It affects ExpandBar, Link, List, Table, Tree, CCombo and CTabFolder.

All of the HIThemeDraw... routines are all available for 64-bit apps, so the Carbon code should just carry over to Cocoa.
Comment 3 Lakshmi P Shanmugam CLA 2010-02-03 09:17:19 EST
In 3.6M5, only these controls in cocoa don't have a focus ring -- Link, Text(SWT.MULTI) and StyledText
Comment 4 Scott Kovatch CLA 2010-02-25 13:02:13 EST
Noting here for completeness that the property org.eclipse.swt.internal.carbon.noFocusRing has no effect, probably because this feature is missing.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
