- File->New->Projects
	- choose either the standard project wizard or the java one
	- Type in a project name
	- uncheck the "Use default location"
	- do not type anything in the location field

	Notice the finish button is enabled. Press it and you get
	and error message: "Could not create d:\eclipse"

Works in latest. The finish button is not enabled until the user enters 
something.
