Description Keith Chong CLA 2002-09-25 15:06:39 EDT
Validation of any xml file encoded with GB18030 (Chinese national standard)
will fail with an Invalid encoding name message.

This is a request that the eclipse base moves up to xerces level 4.0.7
(XML4J 4.0.7) as the fix is provided therein.

WSAD V5 has received GB18030 certification so it is important that this
fix is included.

I don't see version 4.0.7 at alphaworks. Any idea when this will be available?
Comment 2 Keith Chong CLA 2002-09-26 11:23:12 EDT
The xerces folks said they will try to have 4.0.7 ready by the
end of next week. Thanks.

Which Eclipse level is expected to pick up Xerces 4.0.7.. and will this
Eclipse level be intgrated to WSAD V5 soon after? Our plugin has dependencies
on WSAD V5 to receive GB18030 certification.
Comment 4 DJ Houghton CLA 2002-10-08 16:24:42 EDT
Today we received Xerces v4.0.7.
Will investigate incorporating this into Eclipse v2.0.2.
Comment 5 DJ Houghton CLA 2002-10-18 13:40:30 EDT
Released new Xerces v4.0.7 into R2_0_1 branch for 2.0.2 builds.
Updated reference in org.eclipse.core.runtime.
Will merge into HEAD.
Closing.
