The OLE Editor should handle more file types than just .bmp files as Paint can handle at least .jpg and .pngs now.

I'll take a look but I believe we're using the 'standard' OLE mechanisms to determine the mapping from file type to (possibly embeddable) editor. If so then you might just have to register those types with Paint (or have you already done that?).

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
