In text editors, you can now click into an empty region in the overview ruler (a place where there's no annotation), which makes the editor jump to the clicked line. The same would also be nice in compare editors.

Markus, where in your opinion should be the overview ruler located for the left side compare editor? On the left or on the right side of the editor?

IMO, the overview ruler should always be shown directly to the right of the scroll bar. Since compare editors only have one vertical scrollbar for both panes, I wouldn't expect an additional overview ruler.

The tooltips on the overview ruler would have to be adapted to the two-pane layout to something like "Lines: 20, 32" or "Left: 20, Right: 32".

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
