The CDT home page has a newsgroup link that tends to direct folks to the newcomers newsgroup.  You have a proper link in the wiki.  It would be better for the link on the main page to direct the user to the CDT newsgroup.

Actually, it takes you to the Eclipse newsgroups home which is a pretty general introduction to newsgroups at Eclipse.

But yes, now that I know we have web access to the newsgroups, we could change the link to point there.
