To allow disabling of formatting for certain code sections. This could be done with start and end markers such as //J- and //J+ as it apparently works with Jalopy (see http://www.triemax.com/products/jalopy/faq.html#d299e303).

This (I believe) is the only remaining feature necessary in order to be able to format large amounts of code in one go without having to undo the bits which you didn't want formatted.
