F2

- enable Show Text Hover
- open TestCase.java
- give focus to Outliner
- select run(TestResult)
- hover over test result in editor, but give not focus to editor
observe: hover pops up but I can't use escape to close the hover. Esc works
  well if editor has focus.

defer
Comment 2 Dirk Baeumer CLA 2002-07-22 09:20:27 EDT
Reopening for 2.1 consideration
Comment 3 Kai-Uwe Maetzel CLA 2002-09-12 06:07:45 EDT
The hover can only intercept keystrokes that are passed to its parent widget.
Comment 4 Dani Megert CLA 2003-06-16 12:28:18 EDT
Note: The hover is not "hanging" i.e. once you move the mouse away the hover
disappears.
Comment 5 Dani Megert CLA 2003-07-28 08:59:43 EDT
Also, F2 to show the full tool tip description does not work since the action is
not enabled.

We could stop the inactive editor from showing hovers but that's probably not
what users want.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
