It would be nice to have the Find/Replace functionality at a predictable position in a perspective. At the moment I always have to move the dialog box because text is hidden depending on how the set of current views is distributed over the screen.

At the moment I'm even not able to develop such a view by reusing the core functionality and the widgets of the dialog because the FindReplaceDialog class is package private in an otherwise public package ;-(

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
