Hi, 

It'd be fabulous if the variables view had a filter box just like the preferences dialog and other locations. When debugging items that have large nested structures, such as guis or dom trees, a lot of time is spent trolling through the object structure to look at a particular field.

The way it might work is to display all objects that match the filter, and all of the ancestors of those objects.

It would also be great to be able to filter on object type as well as on object name.
