Description Ralf Hauser CLA 2006-05-08 12:17:02 EDT
After moving a project onto a new truecrypt volume that still has > 2 GB of free disk space. I deleted the project and when trying to create the project again, I get the error message attached next.

It would be great to have 1) a link to a help page or 2) some hint why the project creation fails. Even better to have 3) a quick-fix option.

Version: 3.1.1

Have you tried File->Import->General->Existing Projects into Workspace?
Comment 4 Ralf Hauser CLA 2006-05-09 00:45:54 EDT
yes, that worked. So, if my error occurs, please add a help text suggesting exactly that solution!

So this is an enhancement request to improve the end user experience when they try to create a project that is already in the filesystem and they don't know that what they want is under "Import".
Comment 7 Ralf Hauser CLA 2006-05-20 06:04:31 EDT
sometimes, it worked, but sometimes NOT as per Bug 140733

Found the following work-around:

1) rename the directory cheched out from svn to struts.svn
2) create a new empty java project "struts" and close it
3) on the file-system (i.e not inside eclise), do a
    mv -i ../struts.svn/* .
4) open the struts project in eclipse again
5) refresh
6) adapt the source path via "Project Properties"

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
